Raven Bush will highlight the role of music in visual production, focusing on how it enhances storytelling, mood, and audience engagement. Using first-hand examples, they will showcase how to interpret director briefs and adapt compositions to fit different narratives. Additionally, the presentation will offer practical takeaways for aspiring composers and industry professionals.

Bush is a composer, producer, and violinist who has created music for film and TV, known for blending strings and electronics across genres. He has composed music for the BBC series Mr Loverman with Speakers Corner Quartet and created soundtracks for Phillip Kaminiak’s (Mercedes, Dior)LoveSick short films screened on NOWNESS. He has also contributed music to editor and director Simon Smith’s (Andor, Chernobyl, The Last of Us) film Murmur and co-written the trailer score for Darren Aronofsky’s The Whale. Additionally, Bush has collaborated with renowned artists such as Sampha, Laraaji, Kelsey Lu, Tirzah, Christine & The Queens, Young Fathers, Ben Howard, Ghostpoet, and Beth Gibbons. His solo album Fall Into Noise (2021) received critical acclaim.
